Your data stays with you. Everything runs in the EU. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers.

What we store

• Your account email (for sign-in).
• Books and files you upload, and the chapters/embeddings derived from them.
• Operational logs needed to debug failures (no message contents).

Where it lives

EU region (Frankfurt). No US fallback. No CDN that routes through the US.

Your rights (GDPR)

• Access & portability (Art. 15, 20). Export everything as JSON in Settings.
• Erasure (Art. 17). Delete your account in Settings; hard-purge follows the 30-day backup window.
• Rectification (Art. 16). Edit AI-generated chapter titles and summaries directly in Studio.
• Complaint. You can lodge one with your national data protection authority at any time.
